Battle of the Books

Elite students are encouraged to read books selected by librarians and NET teachers from different schools. Some of them are prize winners, such as, John Newbery Medal, and National Book Awards.

English Reading Rewarding Scheme

All S.1 and S.2 students had to read 6 books selected by our school teachers. The best students with their follow-up works will be awarded book prizes.

Chocolate Making and Book Sharing

Collaborating with the school library, a series of activities related to ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factories’ was organized. Our English teacher held a talk about the background of the book. Comparisons between the film and the book were discussed.

Hong Kong International Young Readers’ Festival

The YRF invites writers and illustrators all over the world to meet readers and share their thoughts and insights of books and writing every year.
We arranged our students to join the Meet-the-author session to meet real writers who are passionate in writing and inspiring to talk to. Elite students are also given the chance to join writers'workshops to further cultivate their reading interests and insights.

Online library: Raz-kids

Besides conventional books, we also encourage students to read e-books from an online library to improve their computer literacy and boost their English proficiency.
